The Captain Field's pattern has been the standard parallel rule on merchant navy chart tables for more than a century. This 600 mm version from Blundell Harling lets you walk a course from the compass rose to your position across a full-size Admiralty chart.
Built for precision plotting
Both blades are cut from 6 mm clear acrylic and bevelled on all four edges, so the rule lies flat and every line is crisp. Protractor markings and compass points appear on both blades, letting you double-check each reading.
Solid brass links join the blades and every other metal part is non-corrosive. Rubber pads underneath stop the rule from slipping on the chart.
