Our web shop was developed using software from PrestaShop. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is not shared with this party. PrestaShop also does not have access to your data.

TransIP BV - Web hosting
We have chosen the services of TransIP BV for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. TransIP BV only has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Promidata BV is obliged, under the agreement we have concluded with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made by TransIP BV to prevent data loss.

We obtain domain hosting and email services from TransIP BV. TransIP BV does not process personal data and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party does, of course, use the business details of Shipsworld.NL B.V. (name and address details). This party may also collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. TransIP BV has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorised use of our personal data. TransIP BV is bound by confidentiality under the agreement.

We send our email newsletters using MailChimp. MailChimp will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically via our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive our newsletter. Mollie
To handle (part of) the payments in our web shop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, and place of residence details, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and, in this context, share (anonymised) data with third parties. All safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's service for which they engage third parties. Shipping and logistics
DHL
When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. Among others, we use the services of DHL to carry out the deliveries. Your order is packed and dispatched by the manufacturer: Delite in Denmark for Schatz 1881, VION, Altitude, Delite, Foresti & Suardi and E.S. Sørensen, and Weems & Plath in England for their own range. To make that possible we share your name, address and place of residence with them, and they in turn share those details with the carrier engaged for your delivery. These parties use your data solely to deliver your order and for no other purpose.
Invoicing and accounting
e-Boekhouden.nl
To maintain our administrative records, we use the software of e‑Boekhouden.nl. We share your name, address, place of residence details, and details regarding your order with this software. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is also transmitted and stored securely. e‑Boekhouden.nl is therefore bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. e‑Boekhouden.nl does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

Purpose of data processing
General purpose of the processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time — other than at your request — we will ask for your explicit consent to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality pursuant to the agreement between them and us, an oath, or a legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our service. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In appropriate cases, Shipsworld.NL B.V. may be held under a legal obligation to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities offered by the law.
Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also treat this as a request to be forgotten. Pursuant to applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable period runs.
However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your order.
Your rights
Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can invoke them.
In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to the email address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain records of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we administer anonymised data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems.
You have the right at all times to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
Right of access
You have the right to inspect the personal data we process about you at any time. We therefore offer you this option. When you log in to your account, you will immediately see an option "My personal data". There you have the option to download a file containing only the personal data we have on you. In addition, you always have the right to amend, rectify, or erase your personal data. If you choose one of the above options, please contact us via our contact form or email info@shipsclocks.com.
We will handle your request within one working day, provided we have verified your identity. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to your email address known to us, together with an overview of the processors holding this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to your person or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send transcripts or copies of all data about you that we have processed, or that has been processed on our instructions by other processors or third parties, to the email address known to us. In all probability, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, because the secure connection of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
Where applicable, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Shipsworld.NL B.V. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will make transcripts and/or copies of data that we process (or have processed) available to you and then permanently cease processing.
You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our privacy contact person.

Google Analytics
Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website as part of the "Analytics" service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be obliged to provide access to this data pursuant to applicable laws and regulations. We have not permitted Google to use the obtained analytics information for other Google services.
