Heavy-duty, flexible acrylic forms this easy-to-use professional three-arm protractor, ideal for laying out course lines or plotting fixes from multiple positions taken with a sextant or hand bearing compass.
Fixing your position
Measure the angles between three identifiable marks, set them on the protractor and lay it on the chart until each arm runs through its mark: the hole at the centre of the rose marks your position.
The centre arm is fixed and the other two adjust, each with a vernier scale. Clear acrylic keeps the chart fully visible beneath.
