The Basic Navigation Kit 316A from Weems & Plath contains the essential tools for finding your position and working out range and bearing to a destination. It suits students on a navigation course and makes a handy spare set on board.
What is in the kit?
The Weems Protractor is an updated version of the Breton and Portland plotters. Use it to lay off a course or bearing, measure the distance between two points, plot a position from coordinates or read the coordinates of a position on the chart.
A 7-inch (178 mm) one-hand divider measures distance, and a navigation pencil and sharpener let you mark the chart and your log. Everything packs into a clear, reusable plastic case.
